Neville: Manchester United turned into a graveyard for players

Former Manchester United player Gary Neville launched a violent attack on the Glazer family, due to the complex situation the club is going through, in order to sign Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen

Eriksen’s current contract with Brentford, who is competing with United for the Danish player’s signature again, has expired

Reports have suggested that United’s offer is more attractive from a financial point of view, but Eriksen appears happy in London and unsure about the possibility of moving to another city
Neville believes it is a shame that a club like Brentford has the chance to outsmart Manchester United in the race to sign an important player

He added: “This is proof of how the Glazer family has turned Old Trafford into an unattractive place for players. It is disappointing to see the family taking £11m from the club in the form of dividends when investment is needed”

Neville wrote on Twitter: “This is why things like this should stop for a while, every penny should come back to the club until it becomes attractive again, the club has become a graveyard for players”

“Culturally speaking, for owners to take (money) from underperforming businesses is frustrating,” he concluded
