Manchester United coach Eric Ten Hag confirmed that he will demand the highest standards of players next season, while speaking to his club, after the start of the preparatory season for the Red Devils 2022/2023
Manchester United have often been criticized for their poor fitness level in recent years, and the new manager is keen to change that with the new moose
“What I want is as always, the highest standards, you expect the maximum and of course there is always still room for improvement because we are in pre-season,” Ten Hag told his club’s official channel
He added: “We know that but we will do our best and I will demand the maximum from the team and the players every day, in every training session and every match”
When asked how holding the World Cup in winter will affect his team next season: “Maybe there will be an impact, but it is no different from another season because it is always important in the pre-season that the players are physically and mentally fit and have a team”
“What you do as a player at the beginning will improve after that during the season, but you set the standards, you set the values and the rules, so you are organized to go into the season and you have to go further”
It is noteworthy that Manchester United will play its first match of the preparatory season, against Liverpool, tomorrow, Tuesday in Thailand, and the match will start at 3:00 pm Cairo time
