Barcelona’s qualification to the Copa del Rey final has sparked a debate among players about the club’s chances of achieving the treble this season
Lionel Messi, the eternal Barcelona legend, broke his silence in a press interview with Radio Catalunya, revealing his dissatisfaction with coach Hansi Flick’s treatment of one of the team’s rising talents. Messi demanded that the coach give young star Pablo Torre a full chance to prove himself, expressing his surprise at the perceived disregard for his great potential despite the limited opportunities he was given.
In his recent statements, Messi said: “I admire the way Flick works with the team and the style of play he follows, but there is one thing that really surprises me: How can Flick be fair to everyone except one player? This player has the talent to perform well, but unfortunately, he is not getting any opportunities to play: Pablo Torre”
In his remarks, Messi referred to the case of young player Pablo Torre, who has been brilliant in the limited minutes he’s been given this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists in just 373 minutes, making him one of the team’s most promising prospects. However, despite his impressive performances, Torre finds himself out of the starting lineup, having been given only 27 minutes in the last 10 matches by Flick, who didn’t even make the squad for the match against Atlético Madrid
Messi, who is fully aware of the demands of a top-flight team, is urging Flick to give Torre more opportunities to develop his skills, especially given the fierce competition for midfield positions within the team
