The German spoke today about his relationship with Real Madrid and Perez and his continuation with his current team and not leaving Real Madrid.
“Joining Real Madrid was the best decision in my life, the best I could do,” Kroos said, in press statements highlighted by the Spanish “Marca”.
“It was a big step for me on the sporting level, and in my private life… I was 24 years old and had a son, and I don’t speak Spanish,” Cross added.
He added: “When you reach the biggest club in the world and you have to work almost immediately, this means that you organize everything in your private life and at the same time be fully present with the team.”
He continued: “From the beginning and during the first day on the field… I was playing as if I had been there 10 years ago… I thank God that things went well… In short, this was the best thing that could happen to me.”
He continued: “I am very close to Florentino Perez, he is a good-hearted person, and from the first day he gave me a feeling that he is happy because I will move to his club, which is unusual for an entity like Real Madrid.”
And he added: “I was at Real Madrid for 8 years, and in this period I know that Perez did not think for a second to sell me. I came for only 25 million euros, and certainly I could have been sold later for more money.”
