And about not relying on Hazard and Asensio, he commented: “It is difficult to answer, and I know that I can rely on them, and I do not know how many minutes they will play, and I made changes for more energy, and as we advanced in the result with two goals, we did not need Hazard and Asensio”
He added, “It does not cost me anything to convince Kroos and Modric to make them sit on the bench, because they are smart and humble, and they know their importance even if they do not play, and managing them is the easiest thing in my career”
The royal coach continued, “It is not true that Benzema has no alternative in Real Madrid, where we have Mariano Diaz, Hazard, Rodrygo, and sometimes Asensio and even Modric, and today Benzema was not good at ending attacks to score, but he does not suffer on a physical level”
He explained, “We must take into account the goals we receive, and today we received a huge mistake, and these things must be improved.”
On Modric, he revealed: “He played a good match, appeared in good harmony with the midfielders, and performed the usual performance from him”
He concluded by talking about Celtic’s upcoming Champions League match: “We can’t focus on individuals but on the whole team, they are playing hard, they have a great start to the season, the atmosphere will be great in their stadium, and we are happy to go there”
