Uli Hoeness, the honorary president of the German club Bayern Munich, gave advice to the Spanish club Barcelona, in commenting on the urgency of Blaugrana in requesting the inclusion of the Bavarian team striker, the Polish Robert Lewandowski
“I don’t know anything about a new offer, but the way things are going in Munich tells me that Barcelona should not bother with a new offer,” Hoeness said on the sidelines of the Neuland conference in Aachen, Germany, today, Wednesday
“I don’t make decisions, but Bayern Munich’s position was clear, they confirmed that he had to complete his contract. I can’t imagine that any financial offer would force them to change their minds,” Hoeness continued
According to several reports, Barcelona raised its offer to include Lewandowski to 40 million euros (41.8 million dollars), with 5 million euros in additions
Lewandowski’s contract runs until June 30, 2023, but the Polish striker has repeatedly confirmed his desire to leave the Bavarian team before the end of the year, although club officials have ruled out his departure from the team so far
When asked, Hoeness did not want to comment on the player’s behavior and his attempt to force his club to accept his departure from the team
“Bayern has never commented on that, and I will not,” he added, stressing that he did not imagine Lewandowski pressing the club to leave
