Oscar Mengueza, Samuel Umtiti and Rikwe Puig will have an extra week off and won’t have to join training next Monday 4th of July. The three players were called up by Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez before the start of the preparatory season with the aim of giving them a few more days to find a way out, according to “Mundo Deportivo”
The Blaugrana coach doesn’t have any of them for next season and so he informed them, but a few days before the start of the pre-season they haven’t found a team yet. Hence, the club has given them more time to resolve their future
Denmark’s Martin Braithwaite is in the same situation as Riqui Puig, Minguisa and Umtiti, although in his case he does not have to join until July 11 because he played the Nations League with his team
It is not excluded that the four affected people will be part of the expedition that will soon make the trip to the United States on the occasion of the tour depending on how events unfold
