Eduardo Romeo, Barcelona’s vice president for economic affairs, spoke about the possibility of opening the door to resolving the Robert Lewandowski deal, the Bayern Munich star
“The decisions agreed at the club’s last general assembly are a very necessary step, but so far we have only been able to get the green light, we have to define the task and finish it,” Romeo said on Radio Catalunya
“Today, Lewandowski can sign as long as we apply the 1/3 rule agreed upon within the economic measures,” he added
In his statements in this regard, Romeo added that there is a mined condition that may confirm the success of the deal, and may spoil it completely
“Since we have crossed the limits of financial fair play of La Liga, if we cannot provide three times the salary of (Lewandowski), the deal will not be possible,” he stressed
The Polish star’s contract with Bayern Munich expires in the summer of next year 2023
Lewandowski added more than once that he wants to leave Bayern and move to Barcelona next season, but the Bayern Munich administration is sticking to its financial conditions (about 40 million euros) to release him
