Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi, a Paris Saint-Germain player, said that he was severely attacked after Kylian Mbappe‘s decision to renew his contract with the French club until the summer of 2025.
“Mbappe’s decision was a surprise, but because of my strong relationship with him, I knew about the decision a few days ago, but the rest of the players knew it in the locker room,” Hakimi said on the Spanish channel Movistar.
The Moroccan defender added sarcastically, “I should have taken a picture with him and written on it (he will stay), as Pique did with Neymar.”
When asked how he concealed this news, Hakimi replied, “I have received messages from people I do not know how they got to my phone number, and they have not contacted me for a long time, to ask me what your friend will do, and when he renewed his contract, they told me (You are a bastard).”
In the same context, Ashraf Hakimi confirmed that Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, did not contact him about Mbappe, stressing that the relationship with the president of the Royal Club is based on mutual respect.
When asked what message he sent to the Real Madrid president, Achraf Hakimi replied, “Titi Florin… Rejoice,” and laughter broke out in the studio.
“I wish you success in another big deal, and good luck in the Champions League final,” Hakimi concluded.
