The mother of the French football star, Kilian Mbappe, said on Friday that the meetings for her son’s future were “over”, noting that the two offers from Real Madrid and France’s Paris Saint-Germain were “almost identical”, and differed only slightly from each other.
Mbappe, 23, has become the talk of the international sports street, as his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the current season, and he is strongly wanted by Real Madrid.
French reports said that Mbappe had already settled on signing a new 3-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain, under which he would receive a salary of 50 million euros annually, in addition to receiving a signing bonus of 300 million.
French journalist Frederic Harmel launched an attack on Mbappe, claiming that he broke his agreement with Real Madrid by moving to the Spanish team next summer, in order to stay with Paris Saint-Germain.
And Harmel wrote through his official account on the social networking site “Twitter”: “In football, there are those who respect their word, and there are Kylian Mbappe.”
The tweet angered the Algerian, Fayza Al-Amari, Mbappe’s mother, as she responded to Harmel’s tweet through her account on the “Twitter” website, saying: “Mr. Harmel, when we do not know anything, we remain calm, there was no agreement before.”
According to the Spanish sports newspaper, Marca, Fayza Al-Ammari, the player’s mother, believes that the ball is in her son’s court, so “he will make the final decision.”
And the mother of the football star, who millions of football fans are eager to know about his fate, added: “We are waiting for the decision he will make. There is little difference between the two offers. We are waiting for him to choose what he wants to do.”
She also indicated that the meetings with the two clubs regarding contracting with Mbappe had ended, as “there will be no further meetings about his future.”
But some Real Madrid officials seemed to understand Mbappe’s situation, because they know that the player will not make his final and decisive decision until the last moments.
