Real Madrid’s Brazilian striker Vinicius Junior confirmed that the pressure in his club is great, noting at the same time that he has the support of the team’s senior players
Vinicius said, during his interview with the Brazilian channel “SportTV”, “I have skipped many stages of training, and at the age of sixteen I was already a professional, and here in Madrid the pressure is great, but I always have the support of players such as Benzema, Casemiro and Marcelo”
He added: “The celebrations this year were different, we felt something special, and we young people like Militao, Rodrygo and Camavinga love each other and this is important.”
He explained, “I’m always improving, and if this season is very good, then the natural thing is that next season will be better”
And about a clip of Benzema criticizing him in October 2020 against Borussia Moenchengladbach in the dressing room corridor, he commented: “Karim is in love with me and always does what he can to help me, and he came to talk to me the next day and told me that was not the case.”
He added, “I have seen the positive side of Benzema, and he always gives everything on the pitch”
On his relationship with Real coach Carlo Ancelotti, he said: “Ancelotti sometimes slaps Militao and me because we need that (laughs), but the technical staff tells us about tactical matters, and whether I will face a fast or slow full-back, and the way goalkeepers pass, because we cannot watch every game”
