The young Brazilian Rodrigo Goes, Real Madrid’s winger, is setting his sights on winning his first European title since his move to Real Madrid.
Rodrigo Rimontada led Real Madrid against Manchester City, in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, by scoring two goals, to set the royal date with Liverpool in the final in the French capital, Paris, on May 28.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Rodrigo may join the starting lineup for the match, due to his level in the recent period.
First Continental Title
Rodrygo joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019, from Brazilian Santos, for 45 million euros.
The 21-year-old Brazilian has gained the confidence of the Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti this season.
Rodrygo participated in 47 matches in various competitions, scoring 9 goals and making 10 others.
Since joining Real Madrid, Rodrygo has won 4 titles with Real Madrid, the League twice and the Spanish Super Cup twice. Undoubtedly, he hopes to win the first European title in his career.
A Promise to be Fulfilled
Rodrygo, who turned the tables on Manchester City in the semi-finals, by scoring two goals in the 90th and 91st minutes, went out after the match to reveal a promise he made to his father before the match.
“Before the match, I promised my father to score a hat-trick against Manchester City, but I scored two goals, and I hope that my third goal will be in the final,” Rodrygo said.
Rodrygo’s important goals since the beginning of the season cannot be overlooked, when he scored against Inter in the Champions League group stage, and Chelsea in the quarter-finals, and certainly his two goals against City in the semi-finals.
